In this position you will:
be part of the Finance Leadership team sharing responsibility for providing oversight and management of the accounting operations of Companies in a shared services environment. Key responsibilities include accuracy and completeness of accounting records, timely and accurate processing of accounting transactions, evaluation and monitoring of internal controls, and compliance with accounting policies.
Main Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Manage Accounting operations to provide company and its subsidiaries with financial transaction processing and timely and accurate financial reporting.
Manage staff of five accounting professionals to include hiring, training, developing, goal setting and performance management.
Partner with Business Unit Controllers to provide accurate financial reporting and ensure reconciliation of balance sheet accounts for each business unit.
Responsible for compliance with sales and local tax laws for multiple jurisdictions.
Champion and promote a continuous improvement culture.
Support and demonstrate an industry leading colleague experience.
Participate in the development, review and improvement of the organization’s policies, procedures, and internal controls; review operational compliance to ensure proper controls are in place.
Participate in the annual budget process and provide budget assistance to management and business unit staff.
Manages the annual financial audit and internal audits, including planning, coordination with all business units, reporting and resolution of issues.
Assess financial systems and modify processes as the needs of the business change.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and able to identify and implement changes to accounting guidelines.
Ensure excellent customer service from Accounting and Shared Services teams to the business units.
Computer savvy with the ability to utilize standard software applications and be proficient in Windows and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
Prepare clear, concise, and comprehensive financial analysis/statements, reports, and written materials.
Manage multiple assignments, set objectives/goals and re-prioritize as needed.
Work cooperatively with other divisions and management, developing effective partnerships throughout the organization.
Work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities.
Respond tactfully, clearly, concisely and appropriately to staff and management throughout the organization.
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree required (accounting or finance)
Eight years related accounting experience, four of those in a supervisory role
CPA or equivalent preferred
The hiring range: $105,000 – $135,000
