Job Purpose:

Seeking an individual with administrative experience in the heavy civil construction industry to join our growing company. 

Summarily, this position held by a team-oriented individual requires experience and proficiency in processing weekly craft (union) and salaried payroll, a working knowledge of applicable union agreements, familiarity in creating and managing union pay groups, and exhibits attention to detail.  In conjunction with the payroll processing duties, individual will collaborate with the accounting team on related accounting functions and processes.

This is a full-time, M-F in office position.

 

Responsibilities:

  •  Accurate and timely weekly payroll processing in accordance with union agreement terms.
  • Weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual tax payments/reporting.
  • Create, update, and manage union pay groups.
  • Maintain and update annual wage rates, tax rates, etc.
  • Produce union reporting, payments, and manage audits.
  • Integrate new employees into payroll system.
  • Facilitate employee benefits (medical) renewals and updates.
  • Employee validation via E-Verify and manage DSHS notifications.
  • Process wage garnishments.
  • Process unemployment, WC, and L&I claims, PFML.
  • Maintain/update personnel files.
  • COBRA enrollment/implementation.
  • Develop a positive working relationship with internal and external teams.
  • Coordinate and support the management and accounting teams and other duties as requested.

 

Education and Experience: 

  • Graduation from high school, or equivalent.
  • Minimum four years of full-time construction related work experience.
  • Advanced skills and experience with commonly used computer programs (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Experience with Sage preferred.
  • Intermediate-level computer/technology knowledge with a willingness to learn new technology processes.
  • Ability to efficiently meet firm deadlines.
  • Execute a high level of confidentiality pertaining to work product.
  • Any combination of relevant education and experience which would demonstrate the individual’s knowledge, skills, and ability to successfully perform the essential elements and responsibilities listed above.

 

Salary Range:

  • $65,000 – $80,000
